We used to make Jello Jigglers Eggs around Easter and my mom would put them out when we all got together. Anything shaped like eggs around Easter is always more fun and your kids will love to help!
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
These Jello Jigglers Eggs are super easy to make and will take you back to your childhood! Also, this recipe is not limited to eggs. Any shape would work well or they could just go in a tray and shapes could be cut out with cookie cutters.
These do not take long to make and they are very pretty when done correctly.
How to Make Jello Jigglers Eggs
First, you will need the 6 ounce packet of the jello of your choice (or two 3 ounce packs if you are mixing colors), boiling water and your mold of choice.
Grease the mold you will be using either by putting some cooking oil on a paper towel and rubbing or use a cooking spray.
Next, boil 1 1/3 cups of water and combine with 6 ounces of jello. Then, mix to combine and dissolve the gelatin and sugars.
Once it is dissolved, pour Jello mixture into molds and place in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
After that, use a dull, flat knife to gently pry the mold open. Lastly, shake gently to remove the eggs.
FAQS
What is the difference between Jello Jigglers and regular Jello?
When you make Jigglers, you use less water and do not follow the directions on the package. Not having as much water allows the Jello to be more concentrated and you can pick it up.
How do I make two different colors?
If you want two different colors, simply heat up the water 2/3 cup at a time and dissolve Jello. Pour in half of mold and place in the refrigerator for at least an hour and repeat with the other color.
Where can I get an egg mold?
Unfortunately, the molds I used are not available anymore but these seem pretty close. Maybe your parents still have them somewhere. Also, if you wanted to do a flat egg shape, there are several options on amazon that would be great and these egg molds are adorable.
