Hello to all my readers! I hope these past few months have treated you well and you are ready for 2024 and all it brings. I wanted to give a bit of a personal update since I haven’t posted in a while (I’m sorry!).

As you may or may not know, I have been strength training and working out regularly for around 15 years and I really enjoy how it makes me feel and look. It’s been one of the best things I could do for myself and has helped me be a stronger, healthier person.

Along with those benefits, it has helped me lose my baby weight twice and I can even pick up my husband! Again, strength training is such a blessing. I pair it with being a Body Combat instructor and I have my ideal workout plan.

But, why am I telling you all of this? For so many years, I have learned many things about fitness and my body and I felt that I was being pulled in the direction of becoming a personal trainer. I always worry I will fail at new things (I have a bit of imposter syndrome) and put off becoming one due to the financial commitment.

However, our gym brought someone in to lead a personal training class in December and I decided to sign up. It was convenient and the price was right.

Long story short, I passed my test and am now a Certified Personal Trainer! I will be using this skill on the blog. Not only will I continue posting travel trips and recipes, but I will be posting some workouts and selling some plans that I have come up with that I know will help people get started or if they just want a plan.

I will also be offering personal training services at my local Y and potentially taking on some clients of my own.
