Book a service at the Hotel Hershey Spa (or The Spa at the Hotel Hershey) if you are looking for a great day away from any responsibility. The Hotel Hershey is right across the street from HersheyPark and it is a great way to unwind after a visit.
Hotel Hershey Spa Entrance
The Spa is accessible through an entrance to the side of the hotel with a green awning. But, if you are a guest at the Hotel Hershey, all you need to do is follow the signs. The spa is located on the left side of the building and it provides a tranquil space to relax.
Check in Locker Rooms
When guests arrive at the spa, they will check in and pay the balance up front. This allows guests to not have to worry about settling up after experiencing services and can just leave. As you check in, you will notice there are candy dishes filled with Hershey’s Kisses.
After payment, a host will escort guests to the locker rooms. Next, guests will get a robe, slippers and a locker for personal belongings.
The women’s locker room is gorgeous. Not only do they have beauty products all over the shelves, but there is an orchid and a mural of clouds in the ceiling with a chandelier. My husband claims the men’s locker room is not nearly this exciting but I don’t believe men would appreciate it as much.
Hotel Hershey Spa Relaxation Rooms
After guests have put their slippers and robes on, they are guided to relaxation rooms. Each one is a little bit different. There is a room with aromatherapy, a silent room, and a larger one that is called a whisper room. The whisper room is the largest and tends to get the loudest.
Each room has an assortment of muffins, coffee, tea, fruit, water and hot chocolate. From personal experience, I can say the double chocolate muffins and hot chocolate are not to be missed. The muffins are a delicious double chocolate with a crispy sugar crust and the hot chocolate is thick and rich. It’s almost like a melted chocolate bar. Also, the tea was fabulous! It’s for sale here. There are also candy dishes in each room with more Hershey’s Kisses.
Services
Hotel Hershey Spa spa services include massage, nails and most standard services. A cocoa bath is unique to Hershey. Hershey tries to lean into the cocoa theme as much as they can. My husband and I like to go for a couple’s massage.
Couple’s Massage
The couple’s massage is pricey, but we have gotten a great massage every time. Guests are led into a larger massage room that is dimmed. Additionally, the massage therapist introduces themselves and ask what scented oil you would like. There are several options, but we always have to go with the cocoa massage oil.
The Oasis Lounge
After our massage is done, we typically like to go read a little longer until our reservation for the Oasis Lounge. Guests with a reservation will take the elevator to the bottom floor. After that, guests are seated and allowed to dine.
The Oasis Lounge has a cold food buffet with several different options. Usually there is a salad bar, some cold meat, a few cold salad mixes and a soup with some bread. We have found the food here to be very good and have enjoyed several lunches here.
But, you can’t forget about dessert! The Oasis brings in desserts from the Hotel Hershey. These desserts are small and elegant but the worst part about this buffet is knowing when to stop.
Downstairs Lounges
Once guests have finished eating, they will find more lounge space on the bottom floor. Guests are encouraged to relax down here as well as upstairs. When downstairs, guests will notice the same food offerings that are upstairs in the lounges. However, guests can now find Hershey’s Miniatures along with Kisses.
Staying all day at the Hotel Hershey Spa
Guests have access to the spa the whole day of their services, even if they are not staying at the hotel. Spa guests can use the pool, hot tub, gym or even walk around in the gardens. In the quiet lounges, guests can read or nap away their days if they are there for relaxation.
Leaving the Hotel Hershey Spa
When it is time to leave, guests will change back into their clothes and leave the slippers and robes in a bin. There are to go cups with the beverages for the delicious hot chocolate. We have also found that two muffins can fit in those cups.
Guests can purchase signature soaps and lotions as they exit the spa. Personally, I have to get the cocoa scented lotion on the way out.
