The Best Non Treat Gifts

Home Lifestyle The Best Non Treat Gifts

The holidays are here, and many of us are considering what gifts we will give our co-workers, acquaintances, and friends. It is not uncommon for us to spend hours in the kitchen baking cookies and treats. However, no one needs more cookies or treats right now! Take an opportunity to do something different. Here are the best non treat gifts you can give to someone to show you care.

The Best Non Treat Gifts

Body Scrubs

How many times does our skin feel neglected in the winter? A body scrub would be a wonderful gift because they are easy to make and you can use these cute little jars. Try out this recipe for a mint chocolate scrub!

Body Butter

If you want something different, try making body butter. Body butter is a thicker lotion that is perfect for the evening. This recipe is chocolate scented.

Custom Ornaments

This a great way to give a little personal touch without much effort. These ornaments come with four pens and there are twenty of them. You can write a generic “Merry Christmas” or be creative with a personal touch from your relationship.

Cookie cutters

Perhaps your friends and coworkers like to make cookies with their kids. Give out cookie cutters and include your favorite cookie recipe.

Christmas Towels

During this time of year, how many times have you walked into a store and seen a cute Christmas towel? Does it make you think of a friend? Grab that towel or shop online. These are great!

Vanilla Extract

Think about it, everyone uses this stuff! Buy a bigger bottle of the good stuff (this is my favorite!) and distribute it into smaller jars as a gift.

Bookmarks

I personally love to read and can never have enough bookmarks! If you don’t know what to get someone, this would make a great gift.  Everyone can use a bookmark and these inspirational bookmarks would be appropriate for anyone.

Hot chocolate mix

Kind of a treat but shhhh….

Who doesn’t enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate with their family while doing Christmas-y things? Hot chocolate mix would be a great DIY gift and this recipe could not be easier! These little cork jars are adorable and come with tags.

Tea sampler

There are so many great teas out there for everyone to enjoy. Get a medley to try yourself and put the best ones together for a sampler for your friends. This assortment sounds perfect and you can place in jars, tie on a bow and you’re done!

Fresh Herb Plants

We love fresh herbs in our house and have a live basil plant on our island. Most grocery stores sell live herbs and it would be a unique gift for someone to enjoy.

Crackers

These olive oil crackers are so easy and delicious, everyone will ask for the recipe! Use this flaky sea salt, wrap them up in little bags and pass them out.

I hope you have gotten some fun ideas from my list. While you are out enjoying the holidays either in the Shenandoah, Central Virginia or at Busch Gardens, you won’t have to worry about your Christmas list!
